A View From The Road.
Labor Day weekend was pretty cool. Instead of sitting around the house cooking out and watching football, or whatever the average person does on Labor Day, we got on the bikes and hit the woods. We left Birmingham and went to north Alabama, and eventually came home from the east. We never left the state, but we didn't need to. We have plenty of badass nature shit here.
J Body wanted to give his new bike its first real miles, so he let Shane take his Sportster.
We have amazing highways here that run through farmland then jump right into rolling hills.
The road to the first campsite was pretty much a 4 mile long dirt bike trail. More bikes got dumped than didn't.
High as a kite.
A road on the map that heads southeast and is maybe the best in existence? Let me introduce to you Highway 9.
Shane's son, Damian, practicing Duane's trick.
This is really nice ground.
A long day on the road.
Just like the Indians used to. Meeks had to work, but he met up with us the second day and became the hero when we found out that they didn't sell alcohol where we were.
It rained on the way home.
A must do again soon.

Let's go to the beach.
On Saturday morning, myself, J Body, and Brandon headed towards the Gulf Of Mexico. I think we were there and back in a matter of 36 hours. The main reason we went was for Brandon to dial in his freshly built bike before he heads in the direction of Born Free. The other reason was that some of our chicks had been at the beach since the day before, so we would have a place to sleep for the night. We left Birmingham headed West, and came back headed North. Just a giant loop taking small roads that said South until we reached the ocean, and heading East through parts of Florida into roads that we had never been on during the ride back. All of the bikes ran smoothly, just some minor adjustments needed here and there. Lost a few parts and articles of clothing, but we made it home which makes the trip a success. Like I said, it was all riding so here is a mess of randomness from our weekend's super loop.
I got some bars from Andy at Pangea Speed and they are the best bars I've ever had for putting serious miles on my bike. I think they look pretty G on my Sportster too. Thanks, my man.
Brandon found out his gas mileage the hard way. But when you realize that your key had fallen out of your ignition (beats us how that happened) somewhere on the road, it adds to the fun.
Meth leads to baseball.
Next time the beach may be actually fun to hang out at and get wasted and not have to do shit and stay for a few days, but until we plan that trip I guess this will hold us over. Born Free bound on Friday and I have a lot of shit to get done.

Ride to the River, To wreck your Liver.
Myself and Duane are headed to a small town in Georgia this weekend to meet up with the BDAC boys. It's one of those towns where the locals celebrate Octoberfest super hard because they all wish it was Germany, but they don't have enough balls to commit and just move there. Actually probably not, but that's what I always think of in my head with that type of shit...... Like white people celebrating Cinco De Mayo all passionately.

Duane's Last Ride.
As a single man...... August 26, 27, 28. Destination unknown. We are just going to crew up and ride out with no plans other than to get lost and sleep in the dirt. Hopefully we end up at some critter honky tonk in the middle of nowhere. Maybe head towards Maggie Valley? Who knows. If you have a suggestion, throw it out there. This is going to rule.
....... Duane and I were going to blast up to The Bastard Bash this weekend, but the neck broke on the Weed Steed making it extremely sketchier to ride. Rob, we will be there in spirit.

The Big Mountain Run 2011: Choppin'
One of the parts I usually leave out posting about our trips is the riding. We do a lot of partying, but we also ride the shit out of our bikes. That's how all of us Haints met, along with some of my bestest friends, Warren Jr. and Jerimiah Smith. We all like dick jokes, getting wasted, and putting miles upon miles on our bikes together. The BMR is in a location that is truly some of the best riding in the country. I'm still not sure which I prefer though. The Colorado mountains are unreal, the New Mexican countryside is chopper freedom, and the mountains that span between Tennessee and North Carolina are beautiful. Either way they are equally amazing. Point being, ride your fucking motorcycle. So here's to some photos actually involving motorcycles!
Chauncey living it.
We blasted up to the mountains quick like to score our usual campsite. That involved riding Alabama's shitty freeways for a hundred or so miles.
Probably one of the worst places to break down.
Riding bikes always puts you in a good mood. It's a good hangover cure too.
Lovers.
One of the stops along the skyway. Jerimiah a top a massive waterfall.
Douglas with his Vice bike narrowing his way through the mountains.
Mosley aboard my lovely Sportster.
Every once in a while, we can convince everyone to ride in a group for about 5 minutes. When that happens, we look really tuff.
Road wizardry.
Ross. Prepared. Blasting off into space.
Riding through the aftermath of an F5 tornado.
Back to Alabama.
