Panhead Love.

Sometimes during hardcore daydream sessions, I get it in my head that I want to get all choppy on my panhead. Then I see photos like this and it brings me back to reality.

Maybe I need to give my Sportster a makeover.

For Sale.

Or trade for one of them new "shovelheads". I wonder if it ever sold.

He Be Legend.

I actually got the idea for this post from a comment Dustin left on a previous post. He asked who "the ginger dude" was in one of the photos. Well that beautiful ginger is the Notorious Nasty Nick. Arguably a distant relative of the great Peter Fonda, Nasty Nick is a force to be reckoned with. He got his Haints shirt shortly after Me, Duane, and Chauncey got ours. He rode a bike around for a while with Road Wizard scribed on the fender. The originator of the word "choppy". He first used the term while we were sitting around a campfire at the 2nd BMR, discussing future Harley models with our new friend at the time, Warren Jr. He hates social media. Actually, he started a Live Journal years ago so that he could act gay and get a rise out of people. Avid bow hunter and fisherman for all you Nugent fans. The first time I ever went to his house, I knew I was in the right place when I saw a white donkey with a blue smiley face spray painted on its side. The donkeys were there so he didn't have to cut his grass. He would probably die for his friends. He beats the shit out of people. I've seen him get maced more times than any human should. He can make anyone laugh and gives zero fucks about what anyone else thinks about him. Total ruler.

Happy New Year. Choppers, Bro.

Zac Doom took this lovely photo of Duane's Weed Steed, my shovelhead, and Jon's panhead. From Born Free 2011.

45" Choppys.

Pictured below is the flathead chop chop that Jack Nicholson rode in Rebel Rousers. Brandon should totally make his flathead get awesome like this one when he gets back from the land of the rising sun.

I really do love this bike......

The bike of my dreams. My attempt at the legendary bikes from the 60's that I drool over. This dude Skully came by to check it out.

Cool As Ice.

This is the bike that Vanilla Ice rode in that movie right? No? Oh well, who doesn't love a panhead with a wassell tank.

Perfect.

This is a repost, but I wanted to show you again one of my favorite bikes ever. One of Arlen Ness's early builds. Progression, I guess you would call it, is weird. It's crazy to think that dude was making motorcycles like this, now makes the shit that the general public commonly associates the Ness name with. I'm not talking shit, I'm just saying. Maybe doing it for that long will burn you out on stock frames and springers. Either way, this will still be one of my favorite machines. My shovelhead is heavily influenced off of this era.

These Are Too Good.

I found these flicks on the MC Art blog and had to borrow them. I think that I read that they are from '66. Along with the hair and the attitude, these bikes kill it.

If I could only take good photos.

I can usually capture pictures of fucked things, but none of them are ever decent quality. Here are some bad to the bone photos that King Kustoms took. Check out the rest of the set at kingkustoms.blogspot.com .

Joel.

Our homeboy Joel has one of the coolest XS650s around. It was just featured on ChopCult. Go check that business out. And no, I'm not talking about Brandon. Even though his first name is Joel and he too has a bitchin' XS650. Joel has always had a cool XS. Confused yet?

Big Mountain Run 2012.

Once again, the BMR was way awesome. A weekend secluded in the woods with nothing to do but party. The new location wasn't too awesome, but that was mostly to do with the management and security. I guess that they were used to having Wild Hogs style "biker rallys" with the occasional critter dumping one out and having George Thorogood mixed with Jimmy Buffet cover bands play. When a whole army of real shit heads marches into your venue and decides to take over, then I guess it's normal to be a little on edge. It didn't stop our good time though. There is always more of us than there is of them. We got to see old friends and made new ones. Wrecked a couple of bikes and made working ones not work anymore. Chris Callen knows how to treat his guests, so thanks a ton for the hospitality my man. Here is a scattered mess of random photos that I took.

I told everyone to meet at the Dojo no later than 8:00. That's why everyone showed up at 8:30.

America, fuck yeah.

Lesson learned. If you run a coil made by a certain company that starts with a V and ends with a Twin, your bike might end up in the back of a truck. At least there was air conditioning.

Just some dudes letting their chests get some sun.

We immediately got in trouble with this gun.

Hell yeah we play sports.

Paul now specializes in building custom dunking booths. Get with him for a catalogue of your own. www.bareknuckledunkin'boofs.com

Straight edge.

Chris made us our own banner.

They fuck too.

Voodoo monkey.

Wes.

Doug Furious likes to party.

Make your own hat. It's easy.

Choppers bro, you know.

One good thing about the location was that there is a bar in the middle of the place. A good spot for everyone to gather and make the staff very nervous.

Cock fight.

Between the hot licks coming from the guitars and beer thrown in your face, this is pretty much what it looked like.

Yeah, they had stripper poles. They HAD them. Now they are in some trash can and those boxes are probably in a burn pile.

Yep.

No excuse needed for a shirt to come off.

We kept trying to get Roadside to dump out his lady's knockers, but I guess he was trying to get laid.

Melt your face off. Shred city.

Oh yeah, Eric. Let's hang from the rafters.

Whoa buddy.

Circle pit go!

This is how you have fun.

This is how you hang over.

Don't go chasing waterfalls, find them shits in the woods.

Pantelones? Nope.

Bitch.

An attempt at biker games. This is Warren and Moon going extremely fast and grabbing a mustard coated hot dawg.

Warren Jr. unveiled his new build for the chopper show.

Over the top.

Below the under.

Pretty ass nigga.

Pee pee time.

Tiki pee.
