Here is a great looking motorcycle.
This photo was posted up by Roller Magazine and I keep coming back to look at it...... So I just took it and posted it here so I can look at it more. Does anyone have an 18" star hub wheel to sell me?

Panhead Dreams.
This sweet 48 Panhead "Hotrod" resides at the Wheels Through Time museum. I drool over this machine about 80 different times during every visit. There are so many accessories on this thing it's ridiculous. When I first got my 48 motor my plan was to build a cocaine fueled chopper, but this bike steered me in a completely different direction. I have a sincere love for these type of classy shithead bikes. I never wanted to make a "bobber", I always wanted to find one...... which now days seems like a pipe dream. Well, I guess it's not really faking it if you assemble one from all from found old parts.

Breaking in my motor.
I try to take it easy on my motor, but I always end up trying to do wheelies or burnouts....... forgetting that I have a fresh motor and have to be easy on it for a while. Maybe this is why my primary cover fell off on the way home? Or no brakes when Bowles hopped on the back and we went to the bar? This bike is really fun.

Panhead Love.
Sometimes during hardcore daydream sessions, I get it in my head that I want to get all choppy on my panhead. Then I see photos like this and it brings me back to reality.
Maybe I need to give my Sportster a makeover.

New for 1948.....
I found this catalog for the 48' O.H.V.'s and 45's from a link off of the JJ. Maybe I'm a dork, but I love seeing this type of shit. It puts me in day dream mode and gets me motivated to get some work done on my 48, which is actually getting very close to starting up if I gather a few more parts and don't fuck something up on it.

My Panhead.
I haven't been sharing too much with the progress on this bike. Not neccesarily keeping it a secret or anything, just a little unsure if I was going to be able to pull off what I had set in my head. I'm way stoked on it now so I'll share a couple of photos. I got a 48 basketcase some time ago and have slowly been piecing it together as I find what I need. I spent the other night by myself at the Dojo and I was able to work out a front end and get it on the ground for its first time. Bikes look way different when you have been working on them at eye level from a bare frame up. I need quite a few more things(18 inch star hub wheel mostly.), but here's the general look of her as she sits right now.
