This weekend was great. We have been to the Wheels Through Time museum numerous times, but this was the best trip yet. Myself, Brandon, and Meeks Mon went on the trek to the Smokies in search of weed induced motorcycle knowledge. Brandon and I took tons of photos, that's why Meeks is in most of them. Thanks to Matt and John for putting us up and your hospitality as usual. I'll post bikes later, here's a small overview of everything else.

Number 1 in every sense. Matt asked us to help him lift this here original paint, first production board track racer up on the shelf. Yeah, the engine number is number 1.

Matt also build himself a new workshop. This place is like a dream come true. We put on some Leadbelly, drank some beers, and stepped into the late 1920's or early 1930's.

The amount of vendors was impressive especially for the first time the swap meet was ever held, and the parts quality was there with it. From throwing bowling balls off of downtown parking decks, to being in massive brawls and hitting a fool with a frying pan. We still are the same dumb fucks that we have always been. That's why when Brunson's birthday came around, we made it everything we could. His wife called me a couple weeks ago and we decided to put together a surprise party for him. There was no better place to do it then at The Dojo.

I picked up this gem the other day and it is worth every penny. I see these books pop up on Ebay every once and a while selling for close to 75-100 bucks, so I was pretty stoked when I stumbled upon this one. There are a ton of useful facts that I've read so far and been like "no shit", and I've have only skimmed through it. Not that I'm going to try to assemble 2 right side flywheels, shave them down and balance them myself, but there is a section in this book if you wanted to give it the old college try at building a stroker. There are also illustrations with sloppy naked biker sluts.

So, next weekend a couple of us are headed up to NC to see our good friends at the Wheels Through Time Museum. It's been almost a year since we were up there last time and I can't wait to be there again. Getting into zen mode and just quietly looking at the amazing machines is awesome, but the best part about the trip is going to be seeing our homeboys. It's comparable to being a little kid and going to see family in a different state on Christmas or some shit. There has been talk of a new years thing happening there which would be convenient seeing as though its right next to all of the cheesy clubs and has a great view of the fireworks. We spent the entire weekend getting the Dojo ready to move into. Actually, it was mostly watching Brian re-wire the place while we set fires and jumped bicycles. Brian killed it with the lighting. If all goes to plan, then the shop area will look like Clark Griswold's house in Christmas Vacation after he strung the lights. We have been talking about getting a building for a long time now and it has happened. Super stoked. The spot has already proven to be worth its weight in gold with the location alone. We sat around a barrel fire and pre-gamed before hitting the bars up, which took us literally 2 minutes to get to. Hopefully, we should be all moved in and set up by New Years.

There was some junk left in the offices from the previous owners including a cash register. It got fucked up with a hammer and there was about twelve cents in it.

Street view. There is a razor/barbed wired fence surrounding the entire property with sliding gates on either side. That was a big selling point.

Ape knuckles showed up later, peed backwards, then claimed to be the first to do it at the new spot. Wrong. Duane broke in the backwards pee at about 10 in the morning. Sorry Ape Knuckles.

Pee Wee left his bike there for us to stunt on.

Peg board got hung on one of the walls in the shop part. I think I only did that so I could shoot nails into the concrete. That shit was tight.

We can't thank Brian enough for the work he has done for us. This is the start of hanging lights. Every couple of feet there is some gnarly set up.

Brandon got his paint on because Brian insisted on us painting the shitty old wall in the back. Great job!

Saturday was one of those days where in reality you didn't do shit, but you feel like you accomplished a shitload. Moon and Duane showed up at my house early to get TCB on Duane's bike and we headed out.

We packed up and got ready for a seek and destroy mission.

After shredding terror, we scoped out some of our prospective buildings for the Dojo.

While all of this was going on, Dean texted me to let us know that he had all of his tour gear ready.

We got back to my house and I broke out my Christmas presents for the crew.

Bowles had to pee, so he peed properly. Backwards.

The one and only Danny Dean even showed up to have "a beer or two". He was also one of the last to leave.

I almost got sidetracked by not posting enough motorcycle shit on here. People might start to think that we are "gay" or not web-biker enough to hang with the rest of the pack. Therefore, I will continue with another tech article for your education. It is very important to know your bike. A good exercise that I like to do to quiz myself is just randomly take a motor apart for the fuck of it.

Before I get right down and dirty with it, it is crucial to lubricate the motor so it comes apart easier. We like to pour oil straight in the oil hole.

Every time I take one of these weird looking coffee cans off, I check to see if it is properly balanced.

We found this stuff at the auto parts store. I like to spray it all over the inside of the motor because it is flame proof. You don't want anything to catch on fire. Duh.

This is how you pee backwards.

Organization is key. I like to put everything in a pile and push it off to the side, but Brandon showed up and mixed me all up.

Another good mental exercise you can do is have your friends show up one at a time and play with things. This tests you to see if you can stay focused in a distracting environment.

Keep repeating that process until enough people show up to where they finally break your concentration. It is unhealthy to concentrate that long anyways.

I also like to have as many projects going on at once as possible. This keeps your mind refreshed and strong. One side project was turning Brian's bike into a Jax Teller replica from Sons Of Anarchy.

It's ok if you can't figure out how to put things back together. I always look as it as a nice decorative addition to the shop. People know you mean business when you have motors strewn about.
